Today I decided that I was going to do something nice for myself, so I decided that I would go shopping. But by 11:30 I had decided that I also didn't really want to leave the house. I certainly didn't want to go to the mall just to find out that what I really wanted wasn't in stock. So I looked at BestBuy.ca to find out if they had what I wanted in stock at either of the stores in the city, they did not. So I turned to online shopping.
20 minutes and $300 later I had ordered the complete series box set of Gilmore Girls from Amazon and all 4 "series" of Canada A People's History from the CBC store. These are sure to bring me hours of entertainment once the Olympics are over. Now I just hope that they get to me alright.

Shadowing in the call centre
So my boss had this brilliant idea that I should job shadow in the call centre. Not that this is nessecarily a bad idea it's just boring as all hell. Right now is a down time for them so basically me and my shadowee sat and talked about farming. There was also discussion with the people around us about baseball. I just nodded my head and smiled because ever since I broke my leg in high school I hate baseball. I think it's the Devil.
It's not that I hate baseball so much as I've vowed never to play it again. Suprisingly 5 years later my knee is still giving me trouble occasionally. But yeah shadowing is boring and I get a new shadowee the day after tommorow, but hey at least I'm getting to know people.

Starbucks is the Devil
So they've opened a Starbucks in Winnipeg Square, which is about a 5 minute walk from where I work. This is good for my taste buds but BAD for my wallet. In fact, I'm convinced that Starbucks has added tiny amounts of cocaine to thier vanilla syrup. Either that or I just have zero will power.
Anyway I'm up to 2 cups a day. I try to go one Grande and one Tall but lately it's been more like one Grande and one Venti. So I'm basically spending like 8 dollars a day. But I love the black tea latte.
I think I will blame Laura for introducing me to the joys of Starbucks, because until this year I always viewed Starbucks as an evil American empire that was trying to over throw Tim Horton's (which has already over thrown Robin's Donuts). But Tim's is too far away (aka the other side of Winnipeg Square).
