Team Edward vs. Team Jacob

There is a debate within fans of the Twilight saga over which guy Bella should be with, Edward or Jacob. I've read the books and I have to say that I was leaning towards Team Jacob. Now that I've watched the first half of New Moon I'm going to say that I'm firmly planted on the Jacob side.

So readers what do you thing? Are you an Edward or a Jacob?

When bad TV shows happen to good movies

Now I'm no TV critic but I do watch a whole lot of it. Recently I downloaded the show "10 Things I Hate About You". Now I really enjoyed the movie so I had high hopes for the show. But sadly it blows and yet I still intend to watch every episode.

I do have to say though that while I've seen a lot of books turned in to movies, this is the first show I've ever seen based on a movie. Or at least that I can remember. Can you think of any?

My real life as described in movies

So you know that scene in Love, Actually where Hugh Grant is the Prime Minister and he's just met his staff for the first time and he closes the door behind him and says "that's unfortunate"? Well I think I had that moment today.

I was in a meeting today with my boss's boss's boss along with a group of my co-workers to discuss new corporate strategy so as you can imagine it was a little dry. So I started looking out the glass windows of the meeting room that look out onto the rest of the floor when I see this headless body walk by. Okay not entirely headless but there's this frosted decal about 3/4 of the way up so it seemed like he was headless. Anyways headless body was clearly male and looked pretty good. Until I got out of the meeting and realized who it was.

Without going into too much detail let's just say it was a bad sign, especially given all of the weird dreams I've been having. Can some body please help me? Maybe something like Chinese water torture or needles in the eye? Partial lobotomy? Full lobotomy? I'll take anything at this point.

I am probably the worst hockey fan ever

Okay so this post title probably isn't particularly accurate there are much worse hockey fans but for someone who prides herself on knowing her stuff I think it's kind of pathetic that I'm only just now getting around to watching one of the only hockey movies out there.

About a year and a half ago I got the movie Miracle for Christmas. Somewhere between school, graduating, moving and stepping out into the real world I entirely forgot to watch it. It also doesn't help that it's glorifying American hockey and so watching it makes me feel just a little bit dirty. So in the dead of summer with all the "good" shows in re-runs and all the good sports in the off-season I felt it was about time I sit down and watch it.

Anyway I'm about a 1/3 of the way through and it's turning out to be not so bad which is surprising because I don't think I've actually seen a movie that I liked in the past 5 years. Well except the Lord of the Rings movies but that's because I'm super dork.

Random thoughts

It's been almost a week since my last post. I didn't even bother to talk about the fair, though that was a good time. There is just nothing about it that I want to put into writing.

Anyway it appears that with the loss of one of my co-workers, who is moving to a different department, much of what we do around here will be falling on me. So I'm about to become much busier than I was for the first month and a half.

Today I was thinking about what to do tommorow night. Tonight OB2 is coming over for supper and Friday night I'm going back out to the country, but I have no firm plans for tommorow. I'm considering going to a movie but then that's pretty much my entire night shot and I won't be able to get anything else done. Though there are a couple of movies playing that I wouldn't mind seeing.
